Vermont native Gabriella Georgiades is an editor at Palgrave Macmillan in New York City. She has been a full-time and part-time editor with the publisher since 1999. In her role, Gabriella Georgiades works primarily on nonfiction titles. She coordinates with staff at the publisher’s London office, buying books from agents and helping authors bring their ideas to life. Once the publisher has acquired a book, she edits it and creates its marketing copy.
In addition to her editing work, Gabriella Georgiades has management and hiring responsibilities. She further coordinates with publicity and marketing teams on book sales. Her efforts have led to numerous successful titles.
Away from publishing, Gabriella Georgiades has been a trustee at St. Luke’s School in New York City for 11 years. She also supports Ethical Culture Fieldston School and the New York Ski Educational Foundation, and is involved with New York Road Runners.
Mrs. Georgiades has a BA from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family. These include rock climbing, skiing, swimming and backpacking. She is also a distance runner.
